There are few things in life that please me more than discovering delicious, hole-in-the-wall local restaurants. Especially ones that embrace their uniqueness. A few months ago my co-workers introduced to Phat Bites in the Donelson area. Their food is made fresh daily using local ingredients – some grown right there at the restaurant. Their menu features a variety of unique and flavorful wraps, sandwiches, salads and side items. I’m a huge fan of the Turkey Wrap and potato salad. Delish.
In addition to fantastic, fresh food, the restaurant also features an abandoned car wash covered in artful graffiti. Yesterday, I was lucky enough to catch one artist in the act. Unfortunately, I was only able to snap a few photos; but promise to take more next time I visit Phat Bites. Which will be sooner rather than later.
