Day 7 Yoga Fix

21dayfixyogafix

Typically, I dread the “yoga” day in any workout program. Let’s be completely honest here – my balance is TERRIBLE and my flexibility, well, let’s just say it peaked in second grade (I used to rock that little box that you had to push the dial forward on – whatever it was called).

But today … my body was super excited to stretch and hold poses and NOT do lunges or squats or weights. Despite this, as usual I wanted to quit about 5 minutes in and almost did … but then I remembered why I started and pushed my way back into downward dog and kept going.

After one full week of 21 Day Fix, I am seriously in love with the program. It’s challenging – but not so much so that I get the “I can’t do this” mental block. It’s fun and Autumn is incredibly motivating throughout. Plus, there is a modifier for when things get difficult. I cannot wait to see the results after 21 days.

The best part is the focus on nutrition and eating the right foods versus counting calories. For me, not eating chocolate is the hardest part (thank you to those that keep candy on their desk at the office – you know who you are :-)). But having the containers to measure and also keep nutrition top of mind has helped me make better decisions and try to minimize the “treats.”
